Claire Gao
Claire is a rising freshman heading to Livingston High School. She has studied multiple styles of debate, such as World Schools Style and Public Forum. Claire has competed and ranked in multiple Public Forum middle school varsity competitions, on both the national and county level. Her extensive debate experience has qualified her to be selected as a debate instructor at both her local Chinese school and a separate academy in the upcoming year. This year, Claire is thrilled to be sharing her excitement and passion for public speaking!

Olivia Huang
Since 2017, Olivia has been taking public speaking and debate courses. Speech has made a huge impact on her life, teaching her how to critically think, speak confidently, and express her ideas. As a rising sophomore at Livingston High School, Olivia has competed and won awards on both the local and national circuit, such as earning a 2nd place award at National Online Forensics Walnut Tournament, semi-finaling Harvard’s National Forensic Tournament, and octo-finaling Lakeland’s Westchester Classic. She has also taken Humorous and Dramatic Interpretation courses, Original Oratory and Communication Courses, Public Forum debate courses, and acting courses. This summer, Olivia is excited to share her passion for speech in helping you enhance skills of confidence, clarity, and persuasiveness.

Parker Wahle
Parker is a rising senior at Livingston High School with 4+ years of experience in Computer Science & Programming. A Code Ninjas of Livingston alum and a current Swim Instructor at Goldfish Swim School in Livingston, he’s no stranger to working with children in service of his community. Volunteering at the children’s camp Turtle Back Zoo and Laptop Upcycle in Montclair, he empowered the next generation to pursue knowledge. With a 5 on the AP Computer Science A exam, he ascended to Head of Code on the Lancers Robotics team where he helped his team continue forward with a powerful robot. He looks forward to studying Computer Engineering and continuing to share his passion for STEM and problem-solving with his students.

Fred Xu
Fred is a rising senior at Livingston High School who has extensive coding experience in and out of the classroom. Fred ran a marketing agency that dealt with web design, social media marketing, and other computer/code-related fields. Fred is the head of finance at Emerald Knight Robotics and the lead builder in the Livingston Science Olympiad team. He has experience with Java, Javascript, C++, HTML, CSS, and other coding languages, and scored a 5 on the APCSA exam. He also has experience working with kids as a teaching assistant in a 5th-grade class at Livingston Christian Church. Fred looks forward to teaching the students in T4C.

Kevin Zhang
Kevin is a rising senior at Livingston High School who's been avidly studying math outside of school since fifth grade. He is currently the captain of the LHS math team, as well as of the Big L Club, a math team based in Livingston that competes in the Harvard-MIT Math Tournament and the Princeton University Mathematics Competition, among others. He has placed well in and qualified for many prestigious math tournaments, and recently, was part of the third-place team in the 2024 MathWorks Math Modeling Challenge, winning $10,000. This is Kevin's second year teaching, and he looks forward to bringing interesting, unconventional mathematics to bright young minds.

Jack Liu
Jack is a rising junior at Livingston High School. He has had about a year of tutoring experience, teaching kids of different age ranges. He hopes that by joining T4C tutoring he can help various students with math through teaching. Jack has had multiple years of competition math experience, including finishing 5th in the chapter for Mathcounts and completing the AP Calculus BC course in school with an A as a sophomore. He is looking forward to meeting and aiding students to the best of his ability.

Keshav Gollamudi
Keshav is currently a rising senior at Livingston High School and has extensive experience and interest in math and other quantitative fields. He has taken most recently taken AP Calculus BC and is on the high school’s math team. Along with math, he enjoys computer programming and physics and hopes to pursue that interest further in higher education and to extend that passion and excitement to others.

Eric Guo
Eric is a rising senior at Livingston High School who has a deep interest in physics. As a sophomore, he took AP Physics 1, earning a 5 on the AP exam, and in junior year, he took AP Physics 2, also doing well in that course. He plans on taking AP Physics C: E/M as a senior. He is also a co-founder and co-president of the Livingston High School Physics Club, and in this position, he has tutored his classmates on physics, specializing in AP Physics 1. Eric has also developed two physics-related computer programs on kinematics and momentum. He is excited to teach physics fundamentals to prospective high school physics students!

James Li
James is a rising senior at Chatham High School. Ever since taking his first physics class a couple of years ago, he has been completely fascinated by the intricacies of the subject. He completed AP Physics 1 last year, getting a 5 on the exam, and recently took the AP Physics C exams. He also has extensively participated in math competitions, and he uses his math skills to gain a deeper understanding of physics. James is eager to leverage his expertise and experiences to help bring the beauty of physics to bright young minds.

Alex Yang
Alex is a rising senior at Livingston High School with a passion for math and physics. As a sophomore, he took AP Physics 1, earning a 5 on the AP exam, and in his junior year, he took AP Physics 2, earning an A in the class. He will take AP Physics C: Mechanics as a senior. He is the co-founder and co-president of the LHS Rocketry Club, designing, testing, and building model rockets for the national American Rocketry Challenge. He also coordinated the club’s inaugural community launch, teaching kids around Livingston to build and launch rockets. He is looking forward to teaching physics fundamentals to the next generation of physics enthusiasts!

Christina Jiang
Christina is a rising senior at Livingston High School who has a passion for science. She succeeded in all the science courses she has taken at LHS, including honors biology, honors chemistry, AP biology, and AP physics. She is also versed in tutoring, mainly working with students ranging from freshmen to seniors. She hopes to help others find success in their biology classes.

Loretta Chen
Loretta is a rising senior at Livingston High School with a passion for fine arts and biology. She is a self-taught digital artist of 4 years and a ceramic artist of 3 years, having had multiple works selected for regional awards and exhibitions including the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. She has also found success in Honors and AP Biology and is hoping to share her love of the complex molecular world.

Eric Guo
Eric is a rising senior at Livingston High School who has a passion for anything that is chess-related. Eric currently serves as the President of the Livingston High School (LHS) Chess Club, and also captained the LHS Chess Team, winning the High School State Championships for the second year in a row. For his captaincy, he has been recognized by both local and state officials, including the New Jersey State Assembly. In 2023, he was the New Jersey Junior Varsity state champion, and he also competed nationally at several tournaments. This is Eric’s third year teaching chess, and he looks forward to passing on his knowledge to bright young minds.

Matt Ge
Matt is a rising senior at Livingston High School who has played chess for over three years. After quickly developing an interest in the sport, Matt dedicated many hours to the study and mastery of chess fundamentals and strategy. As a member of the Junior Varsity Livingston High School Chess team, Matt has achieved success in many over-the-board tournaments. In addition to playing in the U.S. Amateur Team East in 2022, Matt won the 2022 New Jersey High School Chess Championship. Matt's USCF rating is over 1800.

George Cui
George is a rising senior at Livingston High School, and he has been playing chess for seven years. After teaching himself chess fundamentals, George has gone on to win many scholastic tournaments, such as the NJ High School Chess Championship, bringing the Livingston High School Chess team a first-place victory in both the team and individual divisions. George's online rating on Chess.com is 1700 rapid rating points.

Jerry Ji
Jerry is a rising sophomore at Livingston High School who has a passion for chess. He is knowledgeable about the game and is also self-taught. Most of all, he loves to talk about chess and wishes to pass on his knowledge to younger players. In the 2024 state championships for New Jersey, Jerry won an 8th-place Junior Varsity award.

Sam Zhang
Sam is a rising junior at Chatham High School. As a current Tutoring4Charity chemistry tutor, having completed the honors-level chemistry course at Chatham High School as well as some of the AP chemistry curriculum, Samuel is ready to make sure your child won’t have any unanswered questions. After taking the chemistry course at the high school, Samuel has continued pursuing further education in the field by taking AP Chem as well as participating in competitions such as chemistry olympiad.

Lelun Li
Lelun is a rising senior at Livingston High School. He is currently the captain of LHS Science Bowl and recently led the team to a 3rd place finish in New Jersey. He is particularly passionate about Chemistry, receiving a Young Scientist Award from the Chinese American Chemical Society. Lelun also enjoys coding, reaching USACO Silver level and participating in a variety of hackathons. This is Lelun's first year teaching and he hopes to inspire other youths to pursue their interest in science.

Simon is a rising junior at Livingston High School with a passion for both athletics and academics, thriving in environments that challenge both his physical and intellectual capabilities. His dedication to volleyball is evident from his achievement in reaching the USA Volleyball Nationals, a milestone that marks both his skill and commitment to the sport. Off the court, Simon immerses himself in the world of books, which fuels his love for learning and discovery. Known for being fun and collaborative, he brings a positive energy to teams, balancing lightheartedness with seriousness when goals are on the line. His ability to work well with others not only enhances his sports and academic pursuits but also enriches his interpersonal relationships.

Jenny Zhu
Jenny is a rising senior at Livingston High School with a passion for writing. Her work has been selected to be featured in her high school's literary magazine, Inner Voices, for every year of her high school career. This past year, she was appointed assistant editor, working with other board members to select, review, and compile student-submitted writing and art into a final anthology. Her writing has been published in literary magazines and recognized by national competitions, including the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. She has also been granted admission to many competitive youth writing programs, including the Kenyon Review Young Writers Workshop, Juniper Institute for Young Writers, and the Sewanee Young Writers' Conference. She is also part of a national volunteer organization called WriteCause, where she works with other young writers to uplift teen voices through writing competitions and publication opportunities. She is looking forward to her first year with Teaching4Charity.

Amanda Zhong
Amanda is a rising junior at Livingston High School and has been engaged with years of art experience. Since elementary school Amanda has been a part of several art programs while also participating in numerous district and out of district art shows. Amanda has also participated in art competitions while also accumulating years of digital graphic design experience. Having numerous hours of volunteer experience and also being a summer camp counselor, she can’t wait to teach the Arts and Crafts course! Amanda is a very passionate painter and is super excited to be working with different mediums of crafts. She is delighted to have the opportunity to share her experience and introduce art in a fun way.

Grace
Grace is a rising junior at Livingston High School. She has been with Teaching4Charity for 4 years–she has taught the Digital Art course for 3 years and the Arts and Crafts course for 1 year. She has been a runner up in the Scholastic Arts and Writing Competition in the past year, and has also won a New York Times one-pager contest through her digital art skills. Grace enjoys working with children–she has helped teach Sunday school classes in her church as well as the Children’s Choir.

Yolanda Cheung
Yolanda is a rising junior at Livingston High School. She is a Chinese tutor at T4C. She was born in Hong Kong and moved to Livingston in 7th grade. Even though Cantonese is her first language, she learned Mandarin by taking Chinese classes after moving to America as well as watching a lot of Chinese dramas. To add on, she passed the AP Chinese exam with a 5 last year as a freshman, therefore, she has a lot of experience with Chinese speaking assessments, as well as creative Chinese writing. She loves Chinese immensely because learning Chinese could introduce her to a whole new world. Additionally, she aspires to share this special language with everyone and is excited to explore Chinese culture.
