Tutoring4Charity is a T4C initiative whose staff of academically successful high school students provide tutoring services in their strongest areas of expertise. As our tutors are all current high school students, they have an intimate understanding of what your student is currently learning and the best way to help them thrive in school.
Whether your student needs help catching up in school or wants to start learning more advanced topics early, our team of tutors will enable your students to achieve academic success! I am a rising junior from Livingston High School, NJ. I teach science mainly in basic biology and chemistry. I took CP biology when I was a freshman, then I took honors chemistry during my sophomore year. Even though biology and chemistry have barely any correlation, both are essential in developing a thorough understanding of the nature of science. I personally enjoy chemistry labs because chemistry never fails to surprise me. To add on, chemistry is very math-based, and I have a solid algebra foundation, therefore, I find chemistry enjoyable. I also took Dynamics of Healthcare in Society, therefore, I understand the correlation of biology in the healthcare field. I can wait to share my knowledge with people who are as passionate as I am!

Yolanda Cheung (11th, NJ): Chinese
I am a rising Junior at Livingston High School. I am a Chinese tutor at T4C. I was born in Hong Kong and moved to Livingston in 7th grade. Even though Cantonese is my first language, I learned Mandarin by taking Chinese classes after moving to America as well as watching a lot of Chinese dramas. To add on, I passed the AP Chinese exam with a 5 last year as a freshman, therefore, I have a lot of experience with Chinese speaking assessments, as well as creative Chinese writing. I love Chinese immensely because learning Chinese could introduce me to a whole new world. Additionally, I aspire to share this special language with everyone and am excited to explore Chinese culture.
Ryeo-Won Kim (11th, MI): French = Korean
My name is Ryeo-Won, and I am a junior at Troy High School. I began learning French in 8th grade and have enjoyed learning French ever since. I have taken French up to level 4, earning gold, bronze, and silver medals at the Grand Concours, and will be taking French AP this year. I like to watch French movies on the airplane and listen to French songs in my free time (I can introduce you to some that my teacher played for us!). I look forward to meeting you Frenchies out there and I hope to be able to help you with whatever you need to improve your French skills!
