Who We Are

We are Teaching4Charity (T4C), a student-created and student-run teaching organization.

Our staff of high school volunteers teaches various topics that they are highly passionate about and skilled in, such as coding, public speaking, math, English, and digital art.

Our mission is to promote education in both our local community and our global community. By providing summer courses and tutoring services, we aim to pass down our passions to aspiring, younger students and invest in the futures of the underprivileged around the world. We pledge to donate all proceeds from our initiatives to charities and organizations that give children in other countries a better chance at life.

Our Story

Teaching4Charity was founded in April 2021 by then-freshmen in high school Jonathan Hong, Tyler Ferreira, and William Wang. After witnessing how the Covid-19 pandemic had kept local children bored at home all year and hearing about the pandemic's devastating impact on students in developing countries, Jonathan, William, and Tyler endeavored to provide their community's students with meaningful educational opportunities while simultaneously raising money for underprivileged students in developing countries. What emerged was Teaching4Charity.

Since then, T4C has grown into a team of 20+ high school students whose members dedicate their summers to teaching young children in their community and raising money for disadvantaged students abroad. As Teaching4Charity enters into its third year of operation, our team remains committed to our mission of promoting education both locally and globally and is excited to find new ways to serve our community!
